Automatic Machines for the Production of Fishing Treble Hooks

For years P&M has been studying, designing and manufacturing modules and automatic machines for the fishing sector specifically aimed at the production of hooks and treble hooks. In particular for the latter, P&M has developed a fully autonomous, robotic and automatic brazing machine.

Inside the machine, it finds place the feeding processes of the hooks to be welded as well as their singularization. By the use of dedicated robot, the hooks are micro-manipulated and positioned in a holding vice. Here a second robot pick and place the assembled parts inside an oven for the computerized brazing process, The working cycle ends with the release of the brazed treble hook.

Consistent with the philosophy of P&M, the process is constantly monitored both at the level of working phases and of the finished product. The latter is checked by  an image acquisition system for a pass / fail evaluation of the brazing performed. Furthermore, it is possible to interface the aforementioned brazing module with special conveyor belts of P&M’s conception able to work directly inside the hardening furnaces.

Finally, the support proposal of P&M in the automated production of treble hooks is completed with solutions in the field of filaments straightening, forming and forging of the hooks, as well as sharpening and grinding the tips. Upon request, we also carry out the design and installation of systems dedicated to the chemical treatments of hooks based on customer specifications.

Test Benches for Sample Checks

P&M manufactures test benches dedicated to sample verification of the performance of hooks and treble hooks, instrumented by classic tensile strength systems as well as equipped with innovative optical fiber and thermoelastic sensors.
